BMX Racing is an individual sport. BMX is the only Olympic sport with a fully integrated STE(A)M program that meets or exceeds all 50 states Common Core/Next Generation Science Standards. This is the ultimate experience for first timers to get involved with the sport of BMX.
First of its kind programming for all skill levels that combines Science, Technology, Engineering and Math with a strong physical fitness element mixed with the right amount of fun.
Students use BMX bikes to perform various experiments and conceptualize designs to build a scale BMX track to explore the world of STE(A)M. Attendees will also be introduced to other cycling disciplines and riding experiences i.e. pump track, off-site training, etc at offsite locations.
Attendees will have the ability to engage with a USA BMX Olympian and USA BMX World Champion and even get to ride the brand new Hardesty National BMX Stadium track. Mongoose bikes and helmets are provided or you can bring your own.
All campers will receive a official camp T-shirt, water bottle & one year BMX Membership. Lunch will be provided.
Scholarship is applied during registration if you attend applicable school or within specific zip codes. Applicable zip codes for scholarship, 74106 and 74110. Applicable schools for scholarship; Anderson, Hawthorne, Celia, Clinton, Springdale, Hamilton, Whitman, KIPP, Monroe MS.
